South West Scotland Community Justice Authority |
South West Scotland Community Justice Authority (CJA) is one of eight CJAs set up by the Scottish Government in 2007. We are a devolved public body which covers the local authority areas of Dumfries & Galloway, East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and South Ayrshire. Our purpose is to reduce reoffending and reconviction rates and to contribute to building a safer and stronger Scotland by improving the management of offenders.
Our Partners include local authority criminal justice social work services, Scottish Prison Service, the police, NHS and voluntary organisations. We will achieve our purpose by working together to jointly plan and improve the management of offenders, services for victims of crime and the familes of offenders.
Our Area Plan 2008-11 sets out our shared priorities for South West Scotland. Our action plan outlines the work we are taking forward and is updated annually.
Our website offers a wide range of information about South West Scotland CJA. From plans and strategies, to reports of our meetings to how we measure our progress you will find it all here. You can also find information about our partners and other organisations providing services for offenders, their families and their victims.
