Community Service: what does it mean to you? Is it just the ‘soft option'? An easy way for offenders to temporarily pay for a crime before they go on to re-offend? Do you think it's an ineffective way to deal with offenders or are you unsure about what Community Service actually is?

The South West Scotland Community Justice Authority wants to challenge and change these views. It wants to raise awareness of Community Service and how it can benefit not just offenders, but whole communities and individuals as well. Here are just a few stories to show you how it can do this:
