In August 2010 South West Scotland CJA and HMP Dumfries held a half-day conference “Together is Better” which brought together a range of partners and community based services to discuss how we could improve community integration for local short-term offenders being liberated from HMP Dumfries. (http://www.swscja.org.uk/together-is-better.html)

The conference was just the beginning of a longer journey. Many of the partners have been working together since then to develop the Dumfries & Galloway Community Integration Pathways – a document which sets out how we will work together to improve access to accommodation, substance misuse and employability services.

South West Scotland CJA and HMP Dumfries invite you to attend the launch of the Dumfries & Galloway Community Integration Pathways from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm (followed by lunch) on Thursday, 1 December 2011

The aims of the event are to:
Formally launch the Dumfries & Galloway Community Integration Pathways
Hear from some of the partners involved in developing the Pathways
Learn from the experience of implementing the Tayside CJA Short Term Prisoner Protocols
Reflect on the challenges facing offenders on leaving prison

Please feel free to circulate this invitation on through your own networks and contacts.
