Profile of Offending & Re-offending
|
South West Scotland CJA works in partnership with a wide range of organisations to improve the management of offenders, services for victims of crime and the familes of offenders. Our partners include local councils, Scottish Prison Service, the police, NHS and voluntary organisations. We face a range of challenges in achieving these aims and it is important that our planning and decision making is based on evidence.
In 2007 Strathclyde Police seconded Sgt Colin Convery to South West Scotland CJA to develop a "Profile of Offending and Re-offending". The Profile covers a wide range of issues and presents comparrisons between local authority areas, the CJA as a whole and Scotland nationally. This information informed the writing of our Area Plan 2008-11 which sets out our shared priorities.

The Profile of Offending and Re-offending is currently being updated in order to inform South West Scotland CJAs second Area Plan 2011-14.
