Together is Better

South West Scotland CJA together with HMP Dumfries delivered a half-day conference at the end of August 2010. Around 60 delegates attended the conference which highlighted the importance of effective links and the sharing of information between the prison and community based service providers and considered three key areas of community integration: accommodation, employability and substance misuse. Workgroups are being formed to take forward some of this work which will continue to be a key focus for South West Scotland CJA throughout the Area Plan 2011-14.
